The Make It Happen Podcast exists for one simple reason:

to tell the story of what’s happening here—and why it matters.

Across Northwest Ohio and beyond, there are people building businesses, creating opportunity, solving real problems, and investing deeply in their communities. Too often, those stories don’t get told loudly enough or far enough. This podcast is about changing that.

It’s about showing what’s possible.

It’s about connecting people, ideas, and momentum.

And it’s about helping make this region a place where people can build meaningful careers and lasting connections.

Conversations about “brain drain” are easy.

Building pride, visibility, and opportunity takes consistent work.

Last year, the Make It Happen Podcast featured 31 guests—founders, educators, manufacturers, technologists, climate thinkers, and community leaders—each sharing insight into how our region is growing and where it’s headed.

This year, we’re expanding.

The goal is 50+ episodes, continuing to spotlight local leaders while also bringing in voices from outside the region who are doing work that could shape what’s next here. If we want the world to understand Northwest Ohio, we also need to engage with the world beyond it.

Recording conversations is the easy part.

The real work happens behind the scenes: editing, production, distribution, and consistency.
